Jimmy Richardson

Jimmy Richardson is an author, illustrator, and lifelong martial arts enthusiast whose fiction blends hard-hitting martial arts action with mystery, adventure, and larger-than-life characters.

Raised on the martial arts films of Shaw Brothers and Golden Harvest, Jimmy brings that same energy to the page—where fighting styles matter, characters grow through their training, and every fight is part of the story rather than simply spectacle.

Many of Jimmy's stories have roots in decades of tabletop role-playing with longtime creative partner Michael Lewis. Characters, relationships, and adventures first explored around the gaming table have grown into a much larger fictional universe. Steve Savage himself began as Jimmy's player character, long before becoming the central character of The Savage Chronicles.

Jimmy is co-creator of The Savage Chronicles, as well as Savage Legacy and Shadows of Bay City. He is also co-author of Write the Fight: The Fiction Writer's Guide to Martial Arts Combat, created to help writers build convincing and exciting fight scenes.

Together, Jimmy Richardson and Michael Lewis create their interconnected worlds through Creative Duo Books, combining martial arts, action, mystery, adventure, and decades of collaborative storytelling.
